Ambien Haze and Lorazapam Daze

You are next to me and I am next to you,
But we both know that the other isn’t  really there.
Where are we? I know we are not here,
So therefore we must still be there.
If we are there, what is in our place here?
Through the fog and the haze we stare at each other, we stare past each other.
We can’t move or we refuse to move?
Either way we won’t move, we are content to sit there staring,
Not so secretly inwardly raging.
Our facades have crumbled away,
All that is left are the faded facsimiles of what,
Who we used to be.
Who and what we once were stands unabashed and
Shameless before us.
Turning our heads away is useless,
For next to us stands the likeness of the other,
That is the exact copy of ourselves.
Tear me down!  Rebuild me in the image of what I once was
And I will do the same for you!
You could make me whole, make me sane,
Make me anything other than what I am now.
Because now I am nothing and you are nothing,
And as nothing we have been cast back into this life.
