This year, the Games are taking place in Vancouver, Canada, which was chosen over Salzburg, Austria and PyeongChang, South Korea.  Why Vancouver? How, exactly, does the International Olympic Committee (IOC) decide where the Olympics will be set?     First, a country submits its candidate city (or cities) to the IOC, at least nine years prior to the games in question. SFE Hosts Fall Lakeside Cleanup

A light shower, cloudy and miserable was the forecast for Thursday, Oct. 22.  Clear blue skies, birds migrating south and a temperature near 40 degrees was what the cleanup crew was fortunate enough to have worked in.    An annual event hosted by Student For the Environment (SFE) involved picking up garbage, such as wrappers, cigarette butts and a few diapers, from the lake shore. The Eurospring exhibit, located in the Touche Gallerie in the Hobson Memorial Union (HMU), gave a small taste of Europe through detailed paintings and well-taken photographs of the annual tour.
