For the people who have been patiently waiting for our theater to finish, it looks like the time finally has come.
According CEC Theater (cectheaters.com), the Bemidji theater will be re-opening on Friday, Nov. 20. Since the movie theater will be opening in the very near future, there are many new movies for people to be excited about.
The majority of people are psyched for the second installment of the Twilight saga, "New Moon," but others are looking forward to "Where the Wild Things Are" and "2012."
With the original Twilight movie already grossing around $380 million worldwide, it puts high hopes for "New Moon." The midnight showing of Twilight pulled in seven million for the one showing.
“I’m really hoping that 'New Moon' stays close to the book, because 'Twilight' didn’t do such a great job of that,” said sophomore Stacy Pontinen.
As we roll closer to the opening date, many students are looking forward to have something to do on the dull nights in Bemidji. With some great movies making their debut, and the movie theater re-opening, it looks like we have some more entertainment for citizens and students in Bemidji.
For all of us who have been looking forward to satisfying our movie fix, we have a great new theater. With the new lobby and concessions, as well as 10 new auditoriums with stadium seating of high back luxury rocker seats, it looks like we’ll be seeing our new movies in style.
