City and State: Police Investigate Death in Bemidji
According to a press release from Beltrami County Sheriff Phil Hodapp Christopher Gregory Anderson’s body was found Saturday on the 5500 block of Bemidji Avenue North following a 911 call concerning a man who was not breathing. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the North Country Regional Hospital Medical Examiner’s Office are assisting the investigation into Anderson’s death U.S. Identifies Contaminated Blood Thinner New York Times – Mexico City – Mexico, as a country terrorized by kidnapping, is being shaken by a new crime. Residents receive telephone calls or text messages claiming that a child or loved one has been taken hostage. This con depends on the fear that has been bred by the real life kidnappings that not uncommon there. Because many people have fallen for this scam there have been efforts made to identify the phone numbers and sources of the calls. This has done little to staunch the flow of over 30,000 complaints as authorities say most calls are made from stolen cell phones while some may come from within prisons. -Briefs compiled by Travis Grimler |
