Former BSU football standout Anthony Schreiber has the opportunity to participate in a mini-camp with With the invitation, Schreiber becomes the third BSU football player in four years to get a tryout with a National Football League team. Schreiber will be participating with as many as 50 other hopeful free agents as well as the Vikings’ five draft picks from last weekends NFL draft. “It’s a dream of all young athletes to play at the next level,” stated Schreiber in a press release on April 28. “When you manage to play in college, if you have a shot, you want to take that next step.” Schreiber is coming off his senior season at BSU in which he led the Beavers in receptions (56) and receiving yards (770) for the third consecutive season. He also led the Beavers in touchdowns with 11. He ended his BSU career as the Beavers’ all-time leading receiver with over 2,500 yards receiving and nearly 200 career receptions. “Anytime you get your foot in the door for an NFL tryout, it’s obviously an exciting reward for all the hard work, time and effort put in,” added BSU Head Coach Jeff Tesch in a release. “I hope it works out well for him.” |
