With the internet being virtually everywhere now, Hulu has provided one of the best services on the world wide web. People are able to watch a wide variety of movies and up-to-date TV shows. For most people who have busy or time demanding schedules, Hulu provides a service which lets everyday people be in control.
With a computer with internet access, one doesn’t have to make his or her schedule work around favorite TV shows. Hulu allows viewers to watch what they want, when they want.
If those five-minute commercial breaks every ten minutes have become bothersome, then Hulu is the solution. Hulu allows viewers to watch entire shows with only one or two commercials during the whole episode.
“I love Hulu," said senior John Hanson. "I can watch almost any TV show I want, and only have about a minute of commercials for a 30 minute program.”
A great addition that Hulu recently made was adding movies to their website. Hulu now offers viewers movies such as "Ghostbusters," "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas," "Naked Gun" and many more.
Although Hulu is allowed to play movies, they don’t have the largest or most popular selection, but who can complain when it's free?
The only set back to using this wonderful free set up is the delay of adding TV shows. Hulu is forced to wait up to a week after the air date until they can put shows on their website. This way, the networks don’t have people ignoring the cable programs, which is where they collect most of their revenue.
Hulu will often host full seasons of favorite shows to watch at the viewer's leisure. Currently they have all six seasons of the TV show "Lost" for viewers to watch.
In addition to on-air popular shows such as "The Office," "Family Guy" and "It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia," viewers are also able to watch older shows, such as "Gumby," "Alf," "In Living Color" and many more.
“I usually end up missing 'The Office' when it airs on TV, so I use Hulu to catch up on the episodes I miss,” said junior Aaron Thomas.
