Nearly $7,000 per minute — that was what 50 Cent was paid to play a half-hour concert at the X-Games in Aspen, CO, for a grand total of $200,000.
It was a great spectacle to see the infamous 50 Cent (Curtis Jackson) prance around on stage and get the crowd hyped up, but it was a little unfortunate to hear him lip-sync a few songs.
An hour before 50 Cent even arrived, there was a zoo-like crowd of people. At least 400 people surrounded a small stage at the bottom of Buttermilk Mountain in Aspen.

The hype man and DJ, Whoo Kidd, hyped 50 Cent with a chant saying, “Who the shit? 50’s the shit!" When 50 Cent hit the stage he started rapping one of his songs with heavy profanity.

Once he jumped on stage, the crowd started hopping around, throwing their hands in the air.
After a song or two, 50 Cent observed the crowd and noticed that there were a lot of children in the audience, so he switched up his format to exclude some of the curse words.
Soon, he began to get more involved with the audience, letting them rap a few lyrics with him and giving some high fives as well as rapping on the edge of the stage.
50 Cent’s performance continued with short versions of his hit songs such as “In Da Club,” “Candy Shop,” “Hate it or Love it” and “Baby By Me.”
At the end of his show, 50 Cent gave a shout out to the X-Games, thanked the crowd for all their energy and shouted, “Thanks Aspen, we love you.”
